Sherbrooke is a Sure Brook of water in a dry and desert land.
— Isaiah 32:2
We are a Jesus-community with a joyful sprinkling of
English, Korean & Spanish ingredients.
Everything we do flows from three core commitments that shape who we are and how we live together.
Jesus is the centre of our faith. We interpret all of scripture through the lens of his words, life, death, and resurrection — he holds ultimate authority in how we understand God and the world.
Community is the centre of our lives. The Holy Spirit speaks to our whole congregation — not just leadership — and we are each invited to respond to the Spirit's guidance together.
Reconciliation is the centre of our work. We are committed to peace, welcome every language and culture in our neighbourhood, and pursue a cross-centred life of surrender, humility, and love.
Whether you have questions or answers, struggles or joy, worries or contentment — you are welcome here.
Sherbrooke Mennonite Church is part of the Anabaptist tradition, rooted in the Sermon on the Mount and Mount Calvary. We prioritise Jesus' teachings on peace and reconciliation, and we honour every language and culture represented in our congregation and neighbourhood.
"Our food bank Thursday mornings is our way of serving our community, worshipping Jesus with our hands and feet. Please come out and see the joyful way in which we serve those new to Canada."

Prioritising reconciliation over judgment.
The Spirit speaks to our whole community.
Surrender, humility, and love across cultures.
All week long the people of Sherbrooke pay attention to the Spirit of Jesus in our lives — and on Sunday we gather together to respond in worship and wonder.
Our Sunday service is held in English, with prayers offered in Korean, Sinhalese, Vietnamese, English, and Spanish. In-person Spanish translation is available. Non-English speakers can receive sermon translations by email.
All services are available to attend in-person or via Zoom, and are streamed live on YouTube.
A Korean-language group gathers every Sunday at noon for scripture study and a shared fellowship lunch. Conducted entirely in Korean.
Children ages 4–13 gather for their own Sunday experience at 10:30 AM. A safe and joyful place to meet Jesus and grow in his love.

Kids Ministry →We are planning exciting Kids Summer Camps for 2026! Specific dates will be posted on the Kids page as they are confirmed.
These camps are a wonderful opportunity for children to deepen friendships, explore their faith, and experience the joy of community outside of regular Sunday gatherings.
View Kids PageFaith in action — from our food bank to an ambitious housing project, Sherbrooke is committed to addressing real needs in East Vancouver.
Every Thursday morning Sherbrooke opens its doors to serve those who are new to Canada and others in our community facing food insecurity. This is our way of worshipping Jesus with our hands and feet — come out and witness the joy of serving together.
Sherbrooke is developing an Anabaptist housing project on our parking lot to directly address Vancouver's housing crisis. We envision a 4-story Jesus-Centred Living Centre — housing for community members interested in intentional, faith-rooted communal living.
We would love to meet you. Our doors are open every Sunday and throughout the week for our various programs and community services.
